Being involve as a dancer in the Majlis Raja-Raja (Rulers Conference) is really, really tiring!!! I finally have my time off from it. Even though we're dancers, our original job is a dancer, we are still required to line up at the side of the red carpet to welcome those big shot VVIP a.k.a. the Sultans, TYT and the Agong. Oh, the PM too...
I tell you, doing line ups is the hardest job ever! Not only we're in heels and full costume (mine being the Orang Ulu costume), we have to wait, wait and wait some more!! And we have to rush, rush and rush all the time!! And the worst part of the job is that the VVIP don't seem to bother about our hardship and some don't even look at us!! But good thing the King and Queen aren't like that. Oh gosh, the Queen is so pretty!! And there's also another lady, I don't know from where but she's the VVIP also, who also very pretty!! Ooops, sidetrack.
And Malaysians being Malaysians, we dancers always have to be in standby mode like air stewardess because all of a sudden, we are required for an event somewhere. Then all of a sudden, they can just cancel the event or they just don't need our help.
It really sucks when that happens!
Rest is also very hard to get. And I think because of this (and also the hot weather), most of the dancers are now sick, with me not excluded. I fell sick last week but at least it was before the VVIP comes but still...doesn't it tell you something??
Anyway, I don't mind doing all this because hey, when can you see the monarchs here in Kuching besides now? Haha!! But seriously, I'm so glad that they're going home today and tomorrow!!! Then those overflowing amount of police can go back with them and we can all celebrate Kuching Fest happily ever after...
Now the only thing I'm gonna worry about is my pay!!! Seriously, this people in-charge better pay me well and fast!!! Grrr....I fell sick for this so I need my reward!!!
